We are seeking a dynamic and forward thinking project delivery manager to join a company based in Taunton. This is a new role and it will be working as part of a small team to deliver effective business change in line with company priorities.
The role will be varied and will be responsible for managing successful projects, in line with the company project life cycle, from initiation to closure. You will need to be able to clearly document the progress of all projects including reporting to the project coordinator and board. Liaison with a variety of stakeholders will be key to your success in the role and excellent communication skills are essential. You will be responsible for ensuring project controls are in place and costs and benefits are accurately estimated and tracked through the project life cyle in line with company procedures.
To be considered for the position, you will have significant project management and delivery experience gained across a variety of areas. You will have the ability to work with the IT team and other areas of the business to effectively ensure projects are delivered within budget and on time. You will have a full understanding of project documentation, including (but not limited to) RAID logs, highlight reports and MS Project plans and a working knowledge of the insurance industry. Knowledge of Prince II is essential, however you should have the knowledge to be flexible to be able to use principles of other methodologies depending what works most effectively for that particular project. Adaptability is key. We are looking for someone who loves delivering projects and has a real drive to ensure these are completed to the highest standard. You must enjoy working as part of a team and have a positive attitude to the work given.
