Process improvement is an aspect of organisational development in which a series of actions are taken by a process owner to identify, analyse and improve existing business processes within an organisation. This is to meet new goals and objectives, such as increasing profits and performance, reducing costs and accelerating growth.
Your role within process support administration will be to apply the responsibilities of working processes such as the PDCA (plan, do, check, and act) cycle and if you have worked in process improvements previously, you will understand the important of this type of method.
We have an opportunity for a Part-time Process Improvement Support expert to join our award winning business in the town of Sittingbourne in Kent. We require you to join us on a part-time basis for a period of 12 months whilst a valued colleague takes time off with her new bundle of joy to arrive very soon.
Your role will be to assist the Supply Chain team to manage the continuous improvement and step change projects they are working currently; to ensure the outcome reflects the goal they set out to achieve. You will view the collated information as projects run their course and make recommendations for priorities using your previous project management or Six Sigma or Lean experience. However to have these qualifications are a desirable for us. You must have at least an intermediate use of Excel.
We need you to come and ensure the consistency of method and approach across all our projects and everyday processes are met. That your ability to engage with both internal teams and external supply contacts guarantee clear instruction and communication each step of the way. You need to be a natural influencer and warm and engaging; as you will know that these attributes go a long way in project management related positions.
As a business we win in our industry through innovation, commercial excellence and efficient use of resources. Come and be part of our successful team. The salary on offer is £29,730 pro-rata (£11,892) and working 16 hours per week but there is flexibly around how these hours are worked, to be discussed at interview.
