We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional candidate to work as a Paralegal within the employment law department of a legal firm based in Taunton. The role will involve providing administration support to the employment law team and ensuring that clients receive the best standard of service at all times. This is a great opportunity for a recent LPC/ Law Graduate to learn how to manage case files as well as completing administrative tasks. The role will also involve completing research and drafting documents as well as assisting with some employment tribunal case work.
You will need to demonstrate the ability to understand and be able to relate to client needs. You will also need to show you have excellent time management and organisational skills. It is a busy team, with priorities that change quickly so you will need to be able to prioritise and work well under pressure.
Previous legal experience is not essential if you want to apply for this role. However we will be looking for candidates that have achieved 5 GCSE A*-C grades including English Language and ideally three A-Level passes (or equivalent). They will also need to have a Law Degree and ideally have also passed their LPC qualification. Previous experience within an office/ customer service environment will also be necessary. You will need to have good IT skills, be able to deal with complex documents and be familiar with office equipment. Most important is your ability and eagerness to learn and to build a successful career in employment Law.
