Disability Analyst - PIP Assessor
At Meridian Health we are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic NMC or HCPC registered nurse to work with our client who is a leading provider for Disability Assessment services.
You need to be motivated, show commitment and be flexible at all times.
You will need to be able to plan and establish an efficient way of working through a PIP assessment to facilitate a robust and accurate PIP report . To be able to set and adhere to realistic and detailed timescales for completion of assessment activities (prep, information gathering, report writing, checking etc)
About the role
As a Disability Analyst, you will be joining a team of highly skilled and qualified health care professionals. Embarking on a new and rewarding role, you will be responsible for assessing, reviewing and responding to claimants by working collaboratively, to ensure the highest levels of sensitivity, respect and professionalism are met, simultaneously meeting agreed targets. You will apply your extensive clinical knowledge and natural skills of listening, observing and empathizing with people. It's a responsibility suited to Nurses (RMN, RGN, RNLD) Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Doctors and Paramedics with at least two years' post−registration experience and a clear understanding of how disabilities or impairments impact on daily lives.
To become a PIP Assessor you will undertake a 4 stage training programme building on your professional skills and providing you with the competencies essential for the role. In addition, you will receive payment whilst practicing in the training phase (stage 2 onwards). On achieving approval as a PIP Assessor, you will have acquired a transferable qualification which will be an asset on any CV, inevitably broadening your career prospects

- Have you at least two year's post registration experience as a nurse (level1), occupational therapist, physiotherapist, registered medical practitioner or paramedic?
- Do you have strong observation and communication skills?
- Can you compile a well evidenced and grammatically correct assessment report?
