We are looking for a skilled individual with proven experience within marketing to join a newly created department of a company based in Taunton. This is a key role working closely with the head of sales and marketing. The role has two sections of responsibility, one focused on marketing the other on sales support.
The successful candidate will be responsible for line managing a team of two staff. They will be responsible for the yearly marketing plan which is created with the Head of Sales and Marketing and also for putting together and implementing a social media strategy. They will be responsible for creating all marketing material, writing material for sales campaigns and also helping to write company PR.
The Sales Support part of the role will include working with the management team to centralise the database and feeding back information into the CRM system. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing bids and tender opportunities and also organising and attending events to up-sell products and services. Experience of working with a sales pipeline process would be beneficial.
The successful candidate will be able to meet deadlines and have proven track record of hitting and exceeding targets. Previous commercial marketing experience is essential as is being well-informed on educational trends and policy. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential as is the willingness to note relevant trends and develop ideas.
