A newly created role has arisen for a Shipping Coordinator to join a rapidly expanding food distributor based in Wrexham! Salary £22k plus excellent benefits and career progression working 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Thu 9am-5pm; Fri 8am-4pm!
As Shipping Coordinator you will be reporting into the European Supply Chain Manager arranging urgent shipments, liaising with the customer service team and suppliers on long-term stock issues, monitor and analyse shortages and delays and obtain quotes for import and export shipping arrangements. A large part of this role will be effectively analysing data and creating reports as required.
Your excellent analytical and administration skills will enable you to make an immediate impact in this role together with previous experience within a supply chain or shipping role. Ideally you will come from a manufacturing, logistics or distribution background with proven knowledge of import and export requirements, liaising with 3rd party suppliers and stock control.
Advanced Excel skills are essential with previous working knowledge of Sage desirable although full training will be provided. You will be highly organised, dynamic with excellent problem solving skills as a strong element of the role will be reporting and gathering of information to support the team. Supply Chain or Purchasing qualification desirable but NOT essential.
This role may suit a Shipping Administrator, Shipping Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Supply Chain Coordinator, Supply Chain Analyst, Logistics Analyst, Inventory Analyst, or similar.
