Meridian Business Support currently have an exciting opportunity to become a LED Lighting Supervisor to work in a well established company in Nottingham.

We are looking for someone to work in production for a lighting design company in Nottingham. The role will involve assembly, product test and visual inspection. You will have a minimum of 2 years experience in the LED Lighting Industry.

Applicants must have experience in a similar role including testing and inspection of electrical products. Experience of working with LED lights is essential. You will be able to interpret customer requirement via conversation with your line Manager and also Electrical Contractors. It will be expected that you will know and understand all aspects of wiring LED projects for both single colour tape and RGB, your knowledge and experience will enable you to engage in conversation with not only your colleagues internally but also external Clients whom you will come into contact with, as you will provide technical support on queries internally/externally as and when required to do so.

You will be responsible for an apprentice who will require your training and supervision to bring him up to the required standard, it will be expected that they will ultimately be able to work without supervision when needed.

You will have a good working knowledge of stock and will be responsible for ensuring a stock take is undertaken on a regular basis, you will pass information regarding replenishment of routine stock items to the Office for re-order.

The successful candidate must have excellent attention to detail and a flexible hard working attitude to work.

Day to day duties will include but will not be limited to:-

  • Training of the Apprentice
  • Answering any questions regarding assembly
  • Assisting Office Manager with general technical advise
  • Receiving goods in
  • Dispatch of goods
  • Receiving returned Items
  • Stock rotation (Batch Number order)
  • Stock maintenance i.e. regular stock taking
  • Maintaining Health and Safety Standards in your area

Salary is negotiable depending on experience
