The Key Account Manager is a key role working with the Head of Sales and Marketing to grow the Education business over the next five years. The position will be directly accountable for ensuring that their team hits and exceeds targets and KPI's. The successful candidate will have a track record of building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders and be able to demonstrate evidence of delivering and beating monthly sales targets. The role is about selling the current and new ranges of our school consultancy/improvement services and new range of awards.
The role will involve line managing a team of telesales executives and ensuring they hit and exceed targets and KPIs. You will need the ability to network with key decision makers within schools and be confident to set up meetings with school consortium's and multi-academy trusts to secure sales. You must be confident to pick up the telephone and speak to decision makers, using a consultative approach. It will also be essential that you keep up to date with educational and skills policy and trends, and curriculum changes in order to maintain a credible sales approach when speaking to decision makers.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets in a commercial, preferably educational services setting. Someone who had potentially worked in sales within Further Education or training could also have the right skills for this role. You must have great motivation skills, and strive to get the best out of your team. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
A 10% bonus is payable if targets are met in the first year. Successful applicants will need to pass a DBS check due to working within the educational sector.
