An exciting opportunity has arisen with an SME organisation based in the heart of the West End who are looking for a passionate and highly skilled IT manager to join their expanding business. They operate in the Media, Graphics and Arts space and so a genuine interest or background in this industry would be highly considered although this is not necessary.
You will be comfortable owning the customer service function, ensuring that all tickets are dealt with in a professional and timely manner. Communication skills are key as we continue to grow. You will be required to offer support and ideas to the Sales, Product and Development teams and are responsible for assuring the quality of our products.
There will also be opportunities to provide internal IT infrastructure support to the business. An excellent knowledge of software installation and configuration in a mixed Mac and Windows environment is required, As well as an excellent knowledge of server and networks technology: LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, SQL Databases and Active Directory.
As the IT Support Manager you will be expected to influence, manage and develop all third party suppliers as well as work on complex business environments where multiple technology platforms/applications are in place. You will be able to successfully communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and manage all IT deliverable from resourcing, documentation to completion.
You will be required to have a solid understanding of the following technical tools:
- Linux system administration
- Samba Windows networking
- NFS configuration
- Juniper firewall configuration
- Netgear vlan/trunking configuration
- virtual machine admin and docker
- KVM management
