We have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Auditor to join our Quality & Risk Management team based in the North

The Internal Auditor will be responsible for performing audits of business units, functions and supplier/partner activities as assigned, in order to assist in ensuring the adequacy of the Company's internal control environment. The primary focus of the Internal Auditor role will be compliance and operational audit activities.

Duties of the Internal Auditor will be:-

  • Planning and executing the company's internal audit program for designated locations.
  • Performing audits of assigned internal functions and branch locations across all business units including legislative compliance, operational/best practice, health & safety and quality management system audits;
  • Preparing audit reports
  • Agreeing corrective and preventative action with operational / departmental / function Managers;
  • Making initial oral presentations of audit finding to managers;
  • Maintaining the database of prior audit recommendations
  • Assisting with the preparation of statistical analysis and reports as directed;
  • Assisting the Compliance Manager / Quality, Policy and Procedures Advisor in preparing audit documentation for external audits;
  • Maintaining the internal audit log
  • Assisting and/or hosting of ISO external audits within designated locations;
  • Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with all levels of management;
  • Production of weekly National Minimum Wage (MNW) reports as directed
  • Supporting the Compliance first line calls whilst office based and also providing holiday cover where appropriate for Quality, Policy and Procedures Advisor;


The profile of the Internal Auditor will be:-

  • The successful Internal Auditor will preferably have internal auditing training / qualification coupled with auditing experience.
  • We would consider applications from those with a recruitment background or operational background who are looking for a career change
  • They will have strong computer skills with a high level of attention to detail;
  • The Internal Auditor role requires the ability to multi-task in order to work on various audits and projects in different phases. The ability to make good judgments based upon observations and supporting information is essential;
  • The ability to understand quality, regulatory and legal standards relevant to the recruitment industry would be ideal though not essential as is a working knowledge of the ISO9001:2008 standard
  • Mobile - prepared to travel within the branch network 3 days per week;
