- Litter picking outside in all weathers to collect any debris blown from the waste trucks delivering to the plant.
- Shovelling ash which falls off the conveyor belt when leaving the plant.
- Working at the top of the plant next to the crane which picks up the waste product & sweeping debris into a hopper
This is the three main areas of the work required candidates must be aware that they will have to spend at least 50% of their working day outside and they MUST not be afraid of working at heights as the job involves walking up a "mesh" flooring system outside the plant next to the conveyor belt which takes the waste ash away from the building to a loading area. This area requires daily cleaning and also shovelling loose ash of the conveyor belt. This area is open to the elements Also they have to walk across a "mesh" floor six storeys up to enter the section next to the hopper via a locked door.
The plant is situated down a two mile access road off the A41 so only car owners would be able to travel to this site. There are no bus stops or public transport within a 5 mile radius.
Safety Boots & Hi Vis vests must be worn at all time whilst on site
