Are you an HR professional with generalist experience in the retail/fashion sector, including employee relations, employee engagement and talent/performance management?  We are recruiting for an excting HR Business Partner opportunity at a major UK retail head office in Surrey, where you will develop, implement and embed people focussed initiatives, policies and procedures, as well as coaching and developing line managers to achieve business strategy targets.

Responsibilities as an HR Business Partner:

  • Develop people centred policies and procedures, within a legislative framework which focus on providing commercial solutions in line with the business strategy
  • Support line managers through a consultative approach in identifying issues, trends and developing appropriate solutions
  • Recruitment: forecasting vacancies, prioritising and driving increased local ownership
  • Optimise the e-learning platform
  • Design and deliver a people strategy that's people focussed and KPI driven. 
  • Lead the people plan for your regions, including workforce planning, talent reviews, employee engagement and organisational design
  • Help build strong talent pipelines and succession plans 
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to encourage and seek buy in to all people centred initiatives, polices and procedures.  Manage partnerships with specialist and HR Services teams.  Facilitate regular reviews focussing on a people agenda including retention, attendance, succession planning, learning and development opportunities and people issues
  • Coach and develop line managers and stakeholders to implement and enable people change.  Identify initiatives and processes to ensure HR are leading change
  • Deliver and provide a consistent level of customer service, and design and deliver a service level agreement that is customer focussed and delivers high value people activities to the business
  • Lead and develop the team to ensure best practice is shared, knowledge is developed and a learning culture encouraged

Requirements as a HR Business Partner:

  • Retail/fashion background
  • Generalist HR experience
  • Knowledge of HR processes including an understanding/experience of individual employee relations
  • Experience in managing stakeholder relationships
  • CIPD/Employee Relations and employement law
  • Experience of employee engagement, talent & performance management
  • Delivery focussed
  • Excellent communication skills
