HR Assistant



  • Draft internal / external adverts / upload vacancies on to the Recruitment system
  • Administer psychometric aptitude tests and personality questionnaire.
  • Obtain previous employment and or character references.
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies, ensuring that terms and conditions have been agreed with Company Purchasing Manager.
  • Prepare offer of employment in accordance with U.K. legislation and best practice.
  • Ensure provision of up-to-date contracts of employment in accordance with U.K. Statutory and Companies requirements.
  • Ensure availability of up to date function profilesTermination
  • Monitor reasons for leaving etc highlighting any trends
  • Carry out exit interviews at the earliest opportunity with employees leaving the company of their own accord (Fluctuation).
  • Ensure completion of the leaver process Training
  • Assist in producing and ratifying the annual central training plan in accordance with M4
  • Monitor and document training results and, if required, improvement of training methods
  • Recording of training needs by means of training requirements analysis Communications
  • Assist in producing HR monthly business reports
  • Continuously provide relevant information to superiors and peers in an accurate and understandable manner.Compliance
  • Keep abreast of employment legislation and statutory requirements, ensuring where relevant they are satisfied.
  • Ensure adherence to U.K. and Companiespolicies, procedures, and directives.
  • Provide guidance to Managers and employees on application of these policies, procedures and directives. New starters:
  • Prepare new starter induction
  • Ensure new starter produces relevant qualification certificates, passport, driving license and birth certificate at induction.
  • Ensure new entrant signs all necessary documentation to confirm agreement and Administration
  • Ensure any changes to the payrolls are submitted in accordance with the timetable.
  • Ensure required contents of H.R. file are available and complete
  • Provide Senior Mangers/Line Managers and external bodies with information and statistics drawn from the records.
  • Provide support in producing internal policies and regulations
  • Ensure up to date contracts of employment and continue to implement new legislation and policy
  • Monitor employee absenteeism taking appropriate action, including provision of the Occupational Health requirements:HR related IT player

  • Experience in working within HR environment
