Working in Goods-in as a function can be challenging but very rewarding. I think it depends on who you work for. How valued you feel working in a fast paced and energetic job and how well you co-ordinate the multiple daily tasks you work on.
Based within a Kent based distribution centre for a fast moving consumer products this is an opportunity for a newly appointed Goods-in Administrator to join an established and successful stock control team. A new Stock Control Manager joined their team in January and is currently learning the ropes with the person retiring after over 20 years of service. If that doesn't demonstrate that this is a business to join and stay and with I'm not sure what does.
We need someone highly accurate and an administrator with the ability to juggle many tasks. Someone with a positive attitude to a challenging working environment. However you will feel valued in your role something that most of us strive to feel in our working day but within this business that could become a reality.
If you have worked within food distribution and Goods-in or out this would be an advantage; for example knowledge of dealing with short dated produce and ensuring this is flagged for sale so as to decrease wastage. Your stock coming in-bound will be checked against documentation from the order process and if this is not correct you must be confident enough, to contact the supplier and challenge them on the order delivered that day. If you have knowledge of AS400 this would also be useful.
