We are seeking a driven and committed Financial Controller to join a dynamic and innovative organisation based on the outskirts of Taunton. The company are ideally seeking someone to work three days per week, but this could be increased for the right candidate.
This is a very busy and varied role and would allow the successful candidate to help develop the company's financial strategy and influence future development plans. The role will involve preparing quarterly management accounts, dealing with suppliers, negotiating payment terms and cash flow management. You will work closely with the company's accountants and will be responsible for administering Research and Development Tax credit claims, bank guarantees and UK Export finance information. You will also be responsible for preparing information for tax returns.
You will work as part of a small team, offering guidance where required and also work with the other departments to ensure processes and procedures are managed effectively. You will need to have previous experience of working with SAGE and Microsoft Office packages. You will need excellent customer facing skills, and experience of working with "blue chip" customers previously would be highly advantageous. It is essential you are commercially aware, understanding business needs and looking for solutions to ensure the business performs well.
