Meridian Business Support are currently seeking an experienced Financial Accountant, on behalf of our client - a global distributor of health products. The client is offering an immediate start, working in the Wakefield branch as the manager of the finance team.
The Ideal candidate will be a very hands on and a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA), with a minimum of 5 years experience working in a similar role. Experience of working in a company with rigorous financial control and monthly reporting regimes is essential. Preferential consideration will be given to candidates who have current working experience of Syspro software for manufacturing & distribution companies, and/ or current working experience of HSBCnet online banking and Debt Finance.
The Ideal candidate will also have:
- Strong MS excel skills
- IT Literate
- Experience of leading a team
- Proven track record of contribution to evolving finance functions
- Quick learner
- An energetic and tenacious attitude to work
Day to day duties will include:
- Management accounts
- Management of the finance team
- VAT and other Statutory returns
- CID Banking
- Accounting Systems
- Budgets and forecasts
- Other ad-hoc duties
The role is set to be a permanent position for the successful applicant and offers a range of opportunities for progression. The salary is negotiable dependant upon experience.
