We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join a large local organisation based in Taunton. You will be required to assist in all aspects of Accounts Payable administration including dealing with incoming calls, processing invoices, seeking invoice approval and matching invoices to purchase orders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process Invoices
  • Reconcile Invoices to Purchase Orders
  • Speak with suppliers regarding expected payment times
  • Look up invoices on internal systems to confirm payment dates
  • Chase department managers for invoice approval and cost codes

Preferred Skills:

  • Maths and English GCSE grade A - C
  • Previous experience within an accounts position required
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Able to deal with confidential material discreetly
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Rate of pay: £9.04 per hour
