We are looking to recruit a Tour Operations Manager to work as a team leader for the sightseeing team for our client based in Yeovil.
Our client is an international educational tour management company and the team you will be joining is responsible for booking, operation and management of excursions and trips for large groups of students.
You will directly manage, train and develop a team of 4 Product Delivery Co ordinations, make reservations with appropriate vendors and update the internal database with appropriate reservation and pricing information, so good negotiation skills are required to ensure the company benefit from the best possible value for money on their bookings.
You will be working closely with management help set product targets and research new products.
You will also be continually reviewing all custom, catalogue and other division booking/ vendors to ensure they are meeting defined quality standards.
This role will suit somebody who has management experience in the travel industry or a similar environment of customer service. You should be well organised, able to work under pressure and have a professional telephone manner. It would be a real benefit if you have travelled extensively yourself.
