Have you got great customer service skills and the ability to manage your own caseload of work? Have you got previous insurance claims experience or are you looking to get into the industry?
We are seeking a claims handler to join a dynamic company based on the outskirts of Taunton. Due to the rural location of the company your own transport will be essential. The role will involve managing a case load of insurance claims relating to underground services (Drainage and Water Supply Pipes). Investigations and repairs are undertaken by the company's network of specialist contractors, and this person will be working on the team making all decisions in relation to policy cover and agreed works to be undertaken under the policy. You will need the ability to review survey reports including interpreting policy cover, assessing appropriate repair methods and scrutinising scope/costs. You will also be responsible for the creation of Client Reports throughout the life-cycle of the claims. Excellent written communication skills are therefore important.
To be considered you will need the ability to demonstrate you have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will also have experience of working in a customer service based role. Experience of insurance or a claims background and general building/construction knowledge is desirable. CII Qualification is preferred to Cert CII level -the company are prepared to support people through this qualification if necessary.
