Clinical Support Lead Assessor - South-East

Our client is one of the UK's leading providers of clinical support lead assessment services, and they are looking to hire a registered nurses to work as the lead assessor covering their centres in the South East of England.
A clinical lead assessor who works on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) looks to assess the person, not the condition. You will use your clinical knowledge and expertise lead a team of assessor in a number of locations.
When you start working in the role, you will be provided with comprehensive training on the DWP Assessment process which is delivered in 3 stages.
- an in-depth E-Learning programme to ensure you have the required background knowledge
- a collaborative classroom based face to face training programme
- on the job mentoring and training
You will be an NMC registered nurse (RGN or RMN) or HCPC registered (Physiotherapist or OT) with broad-based experience in your career so far. You have experience of working with a range of age groups, and have dealt with a range of conditions. You will be experienced in carrying out some type of assessment, and this can be pre-admission assessments, discharge assessments, triage assessments, or some form or ongoing assessment. Knowledge of how to carry out an assessment from start to finish is more important than the type of assessment at this stage, as the extensive training provided will cover the specifics of this role.
More essential will be your strong leadership skills, which will be evidenced by your successful career to date. You will be an effective coach and mentor, and will be adept at delivering supervisions and identifying training needs.
You will also be a decent typist, with basic knowledge of using Microsoft Word. You don't need to be a touch typist or an IT wizard, but you need to know your way around a keyboard and be comfortable typing reports following the assessments.
You must be a driver with a clean driving license as travel is a key part of this role.
Working Environment & Salary
This is a full-time permanent position and you will be field based, working across the South East.
You will be working Monday to Friday, office hours, and the salary is up to £35,000 per annum. There is no requirement to work late or work weekends.
