Are you looking to continue your career in catering? Are you flexible and keen to learn? Do you already have catering experience and would now like to move into a team leader role.

We are looking for a enthusiastic and motivated person to join a busy catering team for a on-site staff canteen in Chard. Your role will involve preparing food and preparing menus. You will be responsible for leading the team and conducting training as necessary for staff. Keeping records for food safety and wastage will be paramount for the role and you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of both the canteen and kitchen areas. The role will also involve making sure that displays look attractive and well stocked and dealing with customer queries and complaints.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and ideally previous catering experience. You will need to have an interest in catering and show a passion for delivering high quality food. If you have your Food Hygiene certificate already this would be an advantage but if not you must have the ability to attain this within 6 months.

The hours are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday 7:30am to 3:30pm. (40hr week). This role offers an attractive hourly rate and shift premium paid weekly.
