Our client requires part time staff to answer call to the NHS 111 service, you will undertake an assessment of the health and clinical needs of the patient utilizing clinical judgment supported by the software NHS Pathways. You will give advice and support and where required referral to other services.

Shifts will be Out of hours and working 3 weekends out of 4. The Shifts during week are 6PM until midnight and weekend shifts arePMPM until Midnight.

After assessing the health and clinical needs of patients or patient's representatives you will contact the service supported by clinical decision making software to reach an appropriate disposition for the patient. This could be 999 ambulance, or urgent referral to hospital, GP's, nursing services, in-house clinicians.

You will be able to work effectively as a team member, supporting and communicating with other professional colleagues and clinicians. You will provide a professional, courteous and efficient telephone service consistent with organizational standards for patients seeking assistance from the service, managing calls in a professional and reassuring manner at all times. You will be an effective listener.

There will be on-going training, you will require a good standard of education GCSE Grade C and above including English or relevant call centre experience, experience of working with the general public, face to face or telephone enquirers. You will be required to undergo a DBS clearance You will have excellent keyboard skills be able to work as part of a team and remain calm and professional under pressure with a flexible approach to work. The role involves working weekends and evenings.
