Accounts Assistant required for a large freight distribution company based in Trafford.
Working closely with the Accounts Supervisor and Manager, you will gain an understanding of all the functions within the department and be responsible for continuing with the ongoing improvement of the systems in place.
You will be assisting in the daily, weekly and monthly invoicing process, checking prices daily and updating any new rates on the system. You will also be responsible for opening new account, emailing references and lodging cheques.
You will need -
- Previous experience in an Account Assistant role (ideally for a transport company)
- Excellent Excel skills - up to an including v lookup
- IT literate with the ability to pick up new systems with ease
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
