Responsibilities:
Do you have basic programming skills with experience of using Visual Basics 6? We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Software Developer to work for a leading printing company based in South Shields. This is a permanent role working 8:00am to 4:30pm with an hour for lunch and a salary of up to £25,000 per annum depending on experience As a Trainee Software Developer, you will be assisting the Senior Software Developer with the designs of a range of print-ready products, including direct mail, promotional games for newspapers, scratch cards and breakopens for various lithographic and digital print machines. You will be responsible for planning programme code, enhancements and changes. In addition, you will also be assisting with other duties such a PC set up which will include programming. We are keen to hear from candidates who are working towards, or have, relevant qualifications who can work in a logical, methodical manner to assist in any error checking and debugging of coding. Experience with Quadient Inspire Designer Software, MSSQL Server databases, Crystal Reports is desirable but not essential as training is provided. Responsibilities:
Due to expansion plans, we are currently recruiting for a Projects Co-ordinator to join one of the world’s largest industrial heat transfer companies. This is a permanent role working Mon-Thurs 7.30am-4.15pm & 7.30am-12.30pm on a Friday based in their office in Tyne and Wear, offering a salary of up to £30,000 (dependent on experience). Benefits include 25 days annual leave, sick pay and pension. As a Project Co-Ordinator you will work closely with management and team to maintain excellent service levels to clients as well as sharing best practice and client feedback to support continuous improvement activities and co-ordinate team activities and conduct contract management tasks once a contract order has been received all the way through to delivery of the product. You will complete supplier purchase orders and gain receipt of purchase orders. You be responsible for participation and completion of heat exchanger assessments and cost estimates. You will be processing collection and deliveries, liaising with the clients to provide updates and to gain feedback. Good understanding of engineering or manufacturing processes is required as you will be co-ordinating services such as welding and machining. We are keen to hear from applicants who have worked within a manufacturing or engineering environment with an and understanding of fabrication processes, methods and modern manufacturing techniques. Previous experience of heat exchangers would be an advantage but not essential. You will be organised and have the ability to prioritise your workload to fit business and clients’ needs and be computer literate with Microsoft Office packages and Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system is beneficial but not essential as training will be given. Warehouse Operative-South Shields My client is looking for several experienced Warehouse Operatives to work in a variety of departments at their distribution centre in South Shields. The Role Working in a variety of department including Goods In, Picking, Packing, Dispatch Quality Control as week as a variety of other area, therefore flexibility is an important part of the role Using hand held scanners and working against challenging but achievable targets Working as part of an effective team Hours These hours may vary, however they are typically: - Monday-Friday 0700-1500 week 1 then rotating to back shift the following week 1430-2230 Please be aware to help with social distancing you may start as early as 0630. During peak season there is plenty of overtime available which is paid at a premium rate (see below) The Person Must have warehouse experience Must have basic IT knowledge (for using the hand held scanner) Happy to work towards targets Flexibility to work in several different role A good attitude and a team player Pay and Holiday 1st 12 weeks of placement £8.91ph 20 Days Holiday plus National Bank Holidays After 12 weeks of placement £9.345ph 25 Days Holiday plus National Holidays Overtime is paid at time and a half for any hours over 37.5 plus Saturdays OR Double time for Sundays.
