Pay rate: Looking to pay somewhere between £9.50 and £10.50 and happy to discuss, depending on your skills and experience.

Working hours: 39 hour working week (7.30am - 4.00pm Mon-Thurs, early finish Friday) overtime readily available.

We're looking to take on a Workshop Labourer to support the manufacturing processes of a busy engineering machine shop in Gloucester.
Working on the premises of a well-established precision engineering business, your hard work, friendly and conscientious attitude will ensure the business is always running smoothly.
Duties will include amongst other things:
- topping up, draining and replacing CNC machining fluids;
- monitoring fluid condition and levels;
- removing swarf from machinery;
- tidying shop floor, washing floors and cleaning spills;
- cleaning and packing components;
- delivering products to customers;
- keep track of consumables and request stock replenishment orders - soap, paper towels, oils and lubricants and suchlike;
- some general buildings maintenance tasks as and when needed (painting, replacing light bulbs, general upkeep and handyperson-type jobs);
- some deburring of machined components as and when needed and
- any associated duties as required.
Reporting to the Site Manager, your job will see you working on a factory site, working with and around skilled engineers operating precision machinery. This is a busy and varied role for someone who takes a pride in their work and has a keen interest in making sure that the facility is kept well stocked, clean, tidy and organised to make sure colleagues can carry out their working day in a safe and effective manner.
Experience working in a similar engineering environment would be preferable, a driving licence is essential for this job. If you haven't worked with CNC machining fluids before, you'll also need to learn and then stick to the policies, processes and procedures in delivering safe and effective machine fluid controls.
