Meridian Business Support are delighted to be working with a leading provider of Freight, Packing and Logistics solutions to recruit a Woodwork Operative on a Temp to Perm basis for their site in Chandlers Ford.

Main duties and responsibilities of role:

Packing goods of various sizes and weights for road, sea, or air transport using custom timber and plywood cases
Operating industrial saws, pneumatic nail guns, and other hand/power tools to construct secure and durable packing cases
Accurately measuring and cutting wood to precise specifications.
Inspecting materials to ensure they meet high-quality standards
Assisting with local deliveries and pickups using a company van, within a 50-mile radius
Performing general carpentry and woodworking tasks as needed

The successful candidate will have:

Experience using hand and power tools (experience with pneumatic nail guns and industrial saws is a bonus)
A full UK driving licence (use of company vehicle is essential)
Flexibility to work additional hours during busy periods (overtime available after a standard 40 hour week(
Willingness to work both at companies site in Chandlers Ford and on-site at customer locations within a 50-mile radius
Experience in carpentry or packing

Pay: £13.00 per hour (overtime available after 40 hours)

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30 (flexibility required between 0600 am to 6 pm)

This role is a full-time, temp to perm role based in Chandlers Ford.
