Our local client are on the hunt for a new Warehouse Operative to join their busy and expanding team.  The role will be very hands on and you will be involved in everything from goods in to packing and dispatch, stock management and updating databases. Working closely with the Warehouse Manager the role will grow with you.

As a Warehouse Operative your main responsibilities will be:
  • Unloading lorries of deliveries
  • Updating Goods In spreadsheets and databases
  • Order picking orders for dispatch
  • Wrapping and palletising finished goods ready for dispatch
  • Completing dispatch and quality paperwork 
  • Working as a team to keep warehouse organised and tidy.
This is a small, family run business and they are looking for a Warehouse Operative who is proactive and able to use their own initiative to pick up on the jobs needed to keep the stores team running. We want you to be passionate and keen to learn, this is not your normal warehouse role, you will learn and develop within the role and gain lots of new skills.

Previous warehouse and IT experience will be essential for this role along with a proactive attitude and the ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines. You will also need previous stock management and goods in experience and be willing to learn new skills as the role progresses. 

Hours of work will be 9.00am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday with no weekend working. 

Salary for this role is between £20,000 and £22,000 dependant on skills and experience.
