Are you a Transport Planner with Supervisory experience? Due to recent growth, our client are looking to recruit a Transport Supervisor on a permanent basis based in Newbury, working for a leading recycling processor. The role will be working Mon-Fri 7am-5pm with a salary of up to 25K for the right person.

As Transport Supervisor you will lead a fleet of 5 Vans and 6 Lorries. You will work closely with Drivers and Yard Manager to plan deliveries and collections, routing vehicles in a cost efficient and safe manner from Newbury down to Southampton. You will manage vehicle maintenance, booking in MOTs when required as well as ensuring Drivers are keeping their vehicles tidy. You will need to draw up working rotas for Drivers as well as managing holiday and absence, reviews and training, as well as managing and analysing fuel card data.

It is essential that you come from a similar transport role with strong geographical knowledge and the ability to multitask efficiently. Strong IT skills is important for reporting along with any knowledge of SAP (not essential) for route planning. You will be a strong communicator with a hands on and organised approach. Previous Supervisory or Team Leader experience will be highly advantageous.
