Are you an organised, detail-oriented individual with a passion for logistics? We're looking for a Transport Planner to join our client’s vibrant and dynamic team based in Bolton.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate transport schedules to ensure the timely delivery of goods
- Optimise routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency
- Work closely with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
- Manage drivers with their loads and start times etc
- Monitor and address any delivery issues or disruptions
- Maintain accurate records and reports on transport activities
- Comply with all transport legislation, reducing tacho-graph infringement to be below the company targets
- Previous experience in transport planning or logistics (preferred)
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks
- Proficient in using transport management software
- Flexible and able to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
