Switchboard Operator

Meridian Health are recruiting for Switchboard Operators to work in a hospital in Manchester
This is an ongoing role with long term permanent prospects working within the NHS
This is a full time role working shifts, so you would need to be available to work weekends, nights and bank holidays on a rota
Various rates of pay are available depending on the shift type, enhanced rates are available for unsociable hours, and a pay rise after 12 weeks
Full training is provided by previous experience in a customer facing role is ideal but not essential
Duties include:
  • Taking a high volume of inbound calls from patients, staff and visitors
  • Problem solving and transferring calls to relevant departments
  • Taking internal enquires and recording messages and passing to different departments
  • Liaising with internal staff and contractors
  • Assisting with out of hours service
