Job Opportunity: Senior Support Worker/Team Leader (Children's Residential Home) - DE25 (Derby Region)
Are you an experienced support worker with a passion for making a difference in children’s lives? We are looking for a Senior Support Worker/Team Leader to join our dedicated team in a children's residential home located in the DE25 area (Derby region).
Role Details:
- Position: Senior Support Worker/Team Leader
- Location: DE25 (Derby region)
- Salary: £29,000 per year
- Hours: Full-time (Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of support workers to ensure the highest quality care for children and young people in the home.
- Support the emotional, behavioral, and educational development of the children, helping them to thrive in a safe, supportive environment.
- Develop and implement individual care plans, working closely with management and external professionals.
- Ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements and standards set by OFSTED.
- Maintain clear communication with staff, management, and external partners, ensuring smooth operations of the home.
- Handle safeguarding issues in line with organizational policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: 12-24 months of experience working in a children’s residential home (required).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and support a team.
- A caring, empathetic approach to working with vulnerable children and young people.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
