The Company:

In this newly created position, you will join a well established team of procurement analysts and planners and will take responsibility for building the forecast and setting inventory plans for 3 overseas warehouse locations. Using the company's planning and ERP systems your role will involve data warehousing functions as well as pro-active planning to make sure the at the right stock is in the right location at the right time.

Job Responsibilities:

Build, validate and enter the sales forecast into the company's ERP system and planning tool

SPX (ERP) and Optimiza (planning tool) in partner with local sales and Product team in Exeter

Forecast planning and identify errors in order to maintain accuracy of planning parameters

Improve product availability in 3 overseas warehouse locations Responsible for the end-to-end purchasing process ensuring suppliers deliver on time and inventory targets are achieved

Receive order confirmations from supplier and update delivery date, quantity and price in SPX & Optimiza

Review demand patterns and amend planning forecast accordingly

Track forecast accuracy, identify root causes and implement appropriate corrective Ensure open orders on ERP system match that of the suppliers and update with accurate delivery dates as goods are despatched from suppliers

Work with suppliers and forwarders to arrange regular shipments and to plan economical shipments where possible


Supply chain planning experience in multi-site environment

Working knowledge of planning processes

Data analysis work experience using ERP / SAP systems

Experience in direct purchasing/planning beneficial

Personal Attributes:

Strong time management skills

Database experience: MS Excel or Access

SQL experience and skills

Excellent attention to detail

A methodical and structured approach to work

IT competence including Microsoft Office applications

Working Hours:

8.30-5 Monday to Friday - due to Covid-19 this role will predominantly be home based, until the situation improves and it will then return to an office based position on the outskirts of Exeter.
