Staff Nurse, RMN (Personality Disorders Unit) - York Area - £25,000 plus Benefits
We are looking for a passionate Mental Health Nurse for our Personality Disorder Service in York. This is a women only step down service with 11 beds. You will work alongside our friendly team, including Clinical Staff, Social Workers and Consultant Psychologist to provide high quality care to our service users. This includes some repeat inpatient admissions.
This client is a leading Health and Social Care provider with a presence across the country. They focus on the welfare of Adults with Learning Disability and Mental Health with some specialist services such as Forensic. They focus on providing quality care at all times in a variation of settings including residential, supported living and outreach. They also operate in a not-for-profit bases and invest their funds back into the services to ensure clients and staff are the focus of all decisions made.
Your role will allow you to use your expertise to find ways to support more people to discover new possibilities in their lives. You will offer positive support packages to ensure the service users re integrate into the community and realise their full potential.
The quality of the service is very important, so to assist you to do the best job possible, you will take advantage of a comprehensive training package. This is underpinned by a Cognitive Analysis Therapy Model and all staff receive 3 full days training in CAT. You will also receive specific training on Personality Disorders, Self-harm, Recovery Star/Recovery Planning, to name a few. This is excellent for healthcare professionals looking to upskill and enhance their personal development.
The shifts consist of long days and nights over 7 days on a rota system.
To apply for this role, you must have the following,
- RMN Qualification (will accept newly qualified)
- NMC PIN (or waiting for validation or revalidation - salary negotiable)
- Good understanding of recovery models and Mental Health Act
