Embark on a rewarding journey as a Time Served Service Engineer with a reputable organisation based in the vibrant city of Aberdeen. This full-time, permanent position offers a structured work week, Monday to Thursday from 8am to 4pm and an early finish on Friday at 3pm, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

With a generous salary ranging from £34,000 to £37,000, reflective of skills and experience, this role not only provides financial stability but also the prospect of enhancing earnings through readily available overtime. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, contributing to the service and repair of pumps, valves, compressors, and other rotating equipment. This position is not just a job; it's a career path for those passionate about making a tangible impact in a critical industry.
Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing, installing and commissioning of varying types of rotating equipment including pumps, gearboxes, diesel engines, turbines and fans.
- Understand engineering drawings and interpreting maintenance manuals, using standard test instruments and tools.
- Preparing details daily update reports, and liaising with Project Engineer, Engineering, Quality, Sales and client


Travel is a spice of life in this role, with regular opportunities to venture overseas and offshore, offering a taste of adventure and the chance to experience different environments and cultures.
 
To thrive in this role, candidates should exhibit:

- A time-served certification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Extensive experience in servicing and repairing industrial equipment in a workshop/service centre.
- A willingness to travel regularly, adapting to various working conditions.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- A strong adherence to health and safety protocols, particularly in offshore environments.
- Extensive knowledge of non-OEM rotating equipment
- Full UK driving licence
 
 
Desirable (training will be given)
 
- Understanding of electrical circuits and schematic drawings
- Working knowledge of low and medium voltage industrial control panels
- Strong background of diesel engine servicing and repair

Ideal candidates will possess a robust background in the service and repair of industrial equipment, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence. A solid track record in working with pumps, valves, compressors, and similar machinery is essential.
