Senior Care Assistant (Days) – Stockport Area (multiple locations) - £10.00 p/h
 
My client is a not for profit organisation who has specialized in caring for the elderly for over 20 years. They pride themselves on being very hands on and you will often find the CEO chatting to residents in the homes. They have over 10 services in and around the Stockport area and offer excellent benefits and progression opportunities.
 
We are looking for experienced senior health care assistants for several of our homes. We are looking for persons who are passionate about care, to join the warm and friendly team. All the services are home to our much-loved residents, a lot of whom suffer with dementia. We are looking for persons who are dedicated to ensuring that our residents live a full and happy life.
 
You will be responsible for a team of healthcare assistants and will offer support and guidance to the junior members of staff. You will ensure you lead by example, as well as dealing with the residents’ friends/family and answering any questions they may have. As the senior, you will help with medication rounds and will receive ongoing training and support to make sure you are completing your role to a high standard.
 
This is a day’s only role, the shift pattern is 8am to 8pm.
 
We are looking for full time, permanent seniors who will be fixed term for 12 months to give the extra support needed at this time. We are recruiting across the services, all of which are in the Stockport area. Most of the homes are accessible via public transport, however, driving is essential for some locations.

  • NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care
  • Experience in a similar setting
  • Supervisory experience is desirable
  • Passionate about care and enthusiastic
  • Driver (this is essential at some services due to the location)
