Registered Care Home Manager

Are you a qualified / registered nurse, with proven experience both managing operational aspects of a residential care home, as well as ensuring an outstanding standard of care is provided all residents?

An independent residential nursing home in Croydon is looking for a new Registered Care Home Manager on a permanent basis, where you will be responsible for leading a team in providing a high level of personalised care to all residents, whilst also managing aspects relating to finance, HR, regulatory compliance, and maximising occupancy.

As Registered Care Home Manager, you role will include:

  • Working with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure all regulatory requirements are complied with and monitored
  • Ensuring best practice when it comes to safeguarding, maintaining staff training and awareness of policies
  • Recording and reviewing all incidents, and recording all complaints
  • Providing the Director of Care and the Care Committee with Quality Assurance reports
  • Providing each resident with a personal care plan, setting and auditing standards of service delivery
  • Strategic development of innovative care techniques
  • Identifying marketing opportunities, and building an awareness of the care home locally
  • Overall financial responsibility for the budget, income and expenditure of the home
  • Ensuring all income is collected from residents and accounted for
  • HR and workforce planning - providing a staff rota to ensure safe care can be delivered, and ensuring all staff receive performance management reviews and up-to-date training
  • Recruitment of new care home staff

Essential experience includes:

  • Previous experience as a Care Home Manager
  • A thorough understanding of CQC standards in relation to a Home Manager
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance frameworks
  • A strategic vision whilst remaining operationally focused
  • Good IT and communication skills
  • Forward thinking, strategic solution focused approach
  • A Registered General Nurse qualification would be ideal

Salary for this position is up to £50,000 p.a. depending on level of experience
