Due to growth, we are recruiting for two Quality Technicians (one on Days, and one on Backs) to work for a leading manufacturer of plumbing products based in the Hillington area of Glasgow.
 
These Quality Technician roles are full time permanent positions and the shifts available are as follows:
 
Days: Monday to Thursday 7.45am-4.30pm (0745-1630) and Friday 8am-3.15pm (0800-1515) – 37.25 hours per week
 
Backs: Monday to Wednesday 11.25am-9.55pm (1125-2155) and Thursday 12.25pm-10:25pm (1225-2225) – 38 hours per week
 
Pay: £12.36 - £15.44 per hour dependent on experience plus regular optional overtime available paid x1.5 rate.

As Quality Technician, you will ensure components are manufactured to required specification by checking against drawings, BoMs and customer specification. You will carry out product and process checks to ensure compliance, as well as using measuring equipment. Your role will also include the following duties:

  • Inspect/ Assemble components and products to the required quality standards and customer specification.
  • Ensure products are assembled and packed correctly as per the Bill of Materials, drawings and customer specific requirements
  • Identify and recommend improved methods of work, effectiveness and efficiency
  • Check product codes, Customer order codes & bar codes are correct when scanning or setting up bagging machine products.
  • Carry out process audits to demonstrate compliance.
 
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
 
  • Previous experience as Quality Inspector, Quality Control, QC Technician or Quality Technician
  • Experience completing quality checks, process checks, and maintaining non conformance records and damage reports
  • Experienced in using micrometers, calipers, verniers and other measuring equipment
  • Ability to read & understand engineering drawings, specifications, standards
  • Knowledge and experience of a Quality Management System
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, prioritising workload
  • Good eye for detail
