You won’t have heard of us because we don't often advertise jobs but you'll have heard of many of our clients and the precision components (that only we can make we make by the way!) will almost certainly have touched your life in some way, either directly or indirectly.
We’re now in a position to take on another Quality Inspector to join the team as a well respected member of the team looks to move away from the area. He’ll be missed but we’re looking to welcome our newest employee to the team (and not just because we need someone to take his place on the tea rota, honest!)
+ Well organised and well-equipped shop floor
+ A mix of brand new, state of the art CNC lathes and some lovely old, well maintained conventional/manual lathes, grinders, drills and mills.
+ Easy access to all the tooling and equipment you need to do your best work
+ Encouraging technical assistance always available
+ Checking the quality of very high specification components which eventually end up with some of the biggest brands in the world
+ Long term job security, working for a company creating products for sustainable and eco-friendly industries, aerospace and specialist enterprises
What experience will you need?
You’ll be an experienced Quality Inspector, comfortable completing first offs and in-process inspections, carrying out first article and final inspections against drawings.
You’ll probably have more than three years’ experience in aerospace, medical, motorsport or similar (we work with small parts) but if you have the skills already with less time on the job (perhaps you’re a CNC Machinist just beginning to move into inspection for example), then we would welcome your application too.
As an experienced Quality Inspector you’ll know this already but to be clear, you’ll be confident in using a range of precision inspection tools to check dimensions of machined components to include a Shadowgraph Projector (or you might know this as an Optical Comparator or similar), gauges, micrometers, vernier calipers, microscopes. It would be great if you have experience of using a CMM but you’ll be trained up to use this if you haven’t. I’m afraid that you’ll also be involved in the paperwork side of the job too, some of our work is completed under A9100 standards so there's a fair bit to do – I’m sure you love it really!
