Purchasing Administrator

Are you a well organized Administrator with excellent numeracy skills? We have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Administrator to join a major supplier to the heating and plumbing industries based in Hixon near Stafford. Salary up to £25k dependent on experience plus excellent benefits including annual bonus. Hours are 8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday. Your own transport is essential due to the location.
 
As Purchasing Administrator you will be placing orders with nominated suppliers to maintain agreed stock levels to satisfy sales orders using historical and forecast data ensuring delivery of products within agreed timeframes.
 
You will review and analyse stock records and sales order statistics, arrange collection of goods using nominated transport companies, ensuring components are ready for dispatch to the requested delivery date and approve related invoices for payment.  You will regularly check Pos against sales order demand, check delivery requests, create BOMs and order these materials via works orders.  
 
It is essential you have a solid administrative background with proven planning skills ideally from a manufacturing or similar environment. Ideally you will have experience of using MRP systems (SAP), purchasing or expediting knowledge and good statistics and reporting experience although training can be provided for the right candidate. Good IT skills are necessary including MS Office (Excel and Word).
