Meridian Business Support are seeking to recruit a Project Manager to join the team in Birmingham, in taking an important role in the project management of Capital and other projects. As part of this varied and challenging role, you will be professionally responsible for the complete Project Management from inception to completion of minor Capital & other Projects.
The preferred candidate will assist in space utilisation projects to reduce the Estate and maximise the utilisation. You will also be involved in mobilisations for new contracts along with assisting, where necessary, with Capital Programmes. Other duties encompass feasibility studies, design, programming, financial management of schemes, property inspections and the supervision and co-ordination of external consultants, contractors & site inspectors.
The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills gained managing capital projects and minor capital works (NHS experience would be advantageous but by no means essential as candidates with experience gained in other public or commercial private sector environment will be considered). You will also be able to use AutoCAD or MICAD as well as good working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, Access and Project. In addition, you will ideally hold a project management certification. It is desirable for the preferred candidate to be professionally qualified within a related discipline such as RICS, CIOB or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
