Exciting opportunity for a Clinical pharmacist to join our Homecare Oncology Specialist Team based out of Harlow with hybrid working after 6 months
 
You will become one of our core Clinical pharmacist in a rewarding clinical setting, working closely with the NHS & pharmaceutical companies to deliver a truly exceptional service to the most important people…… our patients.
 
For this role you will need to either be from a clinical or an oncology background
  • Salary up to £60,000pa plus company bonus
  • Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm
  • 37.5 hours per week

Our team of 22 Pharmacists who make up our  Homecare Oncology Specialist Team who are based in our Harlow office alongside our compound team and distribution/dispensing hub. You will take ownership of analysing prescriptions from NHS professionals to ensure they are suitable for complex patient care.
 
As a Clinical pharmacist, you will be liaising with stockholders across the NHS & pharmaceutical companies & support on technical clinical queries providing detailed problem solving to translate customer requests for TPN formulations into valid patient prescriptions which includes of calculation to enable you to create the formulas. You will also get involved within all aspects of the wider Lloyds Pharmacy services to ensure patients receive the service they need.
 
Fantastic progression for GPHc registered Clinical Pharmacist as our team of lead pharmacists will provide detailed training within the first 6 months of the role.
 
Clinical pharmacist responsibilities:
  • Screen prescriptions to ensure that treatments prescribed are safe, effective & evidence based
  • Apply clinical/technical knowledge to translate customer requests for TPN formulations into valid prescriptions and ensure that these are agreed with the customer
  • Ensure all formulations are stable and suitable within the device intended
  • Screening of prescriptions for TPN and small volume compounded products, including antibiotics and chemotherapy drugs
  • Dispensing of TPN and small volume compounded products, including antibiotics and chemotherapy drugs
  • Liaise with regions and accounts to facilitate new patient installations and existing TPN patient formulation changes
  • Ensure Oncology prescriptions are screened, built and checked as required.
  • Undertake statutory pharmacy duties and responsibilities
  • Be a pharmaceutical ambassador for the company at meetings with NHS clinicians, scientific seminars, conferences and symposia
 
Clinical pharmacist skills:
  • Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Strong attention to detail alongside an Independent & Resourceful nature
  • Good team pleader and ability to ability to self-motivate and be motivated by others
  • Excellent Customer Care & a great communicator
  • Proven patient management and counselling skills
  • Systematic and structured approach to tasks and processes
  • Is an effective communicator will various levels of staff
  • The ability to learn from other people and draw on their skills
  • Wants to help and supports patients in a primary care setting
