Job Title: Office Administrator
Shifts: 8:00am to 5:00pm, finishing at lunch time on Fridays
Salary: £19,000 to £21,000 plus a very good benefits package including 24 days holiday plus all bank holidays. The office closes over Christmas period too.
Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire

As the business continues to grow, a permanent vacancy has arisen with perhaps one of the nicest places to work in Tewkesbury, to support a Senior Administrator with her increasing workload.

The job
Joining a small very small group of friendly people in smart, modern offices, your role as Office Administrator will see you carrying out a broad variety of administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the office. A normal day might include answering phone calls from business customers and suppliers, photocopying, scanning, filing, updating basic spreadsheets and offering general support to the department.
 
Working in a small team supporting key business functions, this is not a call centre type job handling never ending enquiries from members of the public. This is very much a varied role offering internal administrative support whilst also answering some external enquiries over the phone and by email.

Role and Responsibilities for Office Administrator
  • Scanning, photocopying, filing, and retrieving files
  • Typing up documents
  • Handling business customer and supplier enquiries by telephone and e-mail
  • Inputting data into basic spreadsheets
  • Communicating with internal departments
  • Being generally flexible to support the business in an administrative capacity
 
 
Skills & Experience for Office Administrator
You'll be joining a very small team so your friendly nature, your willingness to be flexible in terms of the tasks you can take on and your conscientious attitude to do a great job will see you becoming very successful in this position.
 
You’ll also need:
  • clear and professional, yet friendly communication skills
  • to be accurate, with great attention to detail
  • the ability to manage your own workload
  • the ability to show patience and understanding, maintaining customer focus
  • sound computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • if you have used accounting software in the past, this would be ideal but this isn't essential as training will be provided
