As the new Meetings & Events Planning Manager you need to come from a strong meetings & events background ideally within large events, you will be overseeing a small team and be responsible for the conference planning function.
The main purpose of the role is:
- Responsibility for the conference planning function
- Managing the team to maintain timely communications with all forthcoming meetings and event clients, including payment arrangements, pre-con meetings, professional function sheets, debriefs and follow ups
- Support the growth of the meetings & events business by effectively looking for opportunities to upsell to maximise occupancy and revenue
- Maintain effective communication between the sales and operations teams
