A unique opportunity has arisen for a Meetings & Events Planning Manager within a prestigious Hotel Group who have a collection of Luxurious Hotels throughout the UK, this opportunity is located at one of their largest hotels, with a conference venue like no other with over 58 event spaces for up to 700 guests.
As the new Meetings & Events Planning Manager you need to come from a strong meetings & events background ideally within large events, you will be overseeing a small team and be responsible for the conference planning function.
The main purpose of the role is:
  • Responsibility for the conference planning function
  • Managing the team to maintain timely communications with all forthcoming meetings and event clients, including payment arrangements, pre-con meetings, professional function sheets, debriefs and follow ups
  • Support the growth of the meetings & events business by effectively looking for opportunities to upsell to maximise occupancy and revenue
  • Maintain effective communication between the sales and operations teams
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate your management skills within a similar meetings & events sales and planning environment.  You will need to have experience in managing events on a large scale, including a good knowledge in budgeting and planning events and direct line management experience essential
