Meridian Business Support are currently recruiting for a Materials Controller to work for an electronics based company. 

This is a Temp - Perm position is based in Newcastle Under Lyme.
The hours of work are: Monday - Thursday 7.45am - 4.45pm and Friday 7.45am - 12.45pm. Overtime is available. 
Main Responsibilities:
  • Verify & Quantify material to each individual kit.
  • Maintain control of each kit until released to production.
  • Keeping control of all work in progress via spreadsheet.
  • To actively chase material shortages with the FastTrack purchasing team.
  • To provide the live status of work orders to the production Manager.
  • Occasionally take receipt of incoming electronic components, verify them, handle them accordingly and book them onto the MRP system.
  • Previous experience not necessary as full training will be given.
  • Excellent eyesight, literate and numerate.
  • Flexible to work extra hours / weekends where required.
  • Understand process control procedures.
