Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias? Do you have any experience in injection moulding machinery? We are recruiting for a hugely successful manufacturing company that supplies the food, personal care, and pharmaceutical industry. This is a full-time permanent role working 42hrs over Monday to Sunday, 12 hour shifts 6am-6pm/ 6pm-6am on a rotating pattern of days & nights. It’s working continental shifts 2 on 2 off, apart from over weekends where it will be 3 on, 3 off.  The position will be based in Leeds on a salary of £32-34,000 per annum.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining production by carrying out both pro active and reactive maintenance tasks on a variety of plant and equipment, including moulding and assembling machinery. Working within a team of 8-10 Engineers, you will diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults, Dismantle, inspect and overhaul equipment, as required by preventive maintenance program and production schedules, as well as ensuring that all plant equipment are in a safe working order to ensure limited downtime.

We are keen to speak to Maintenance Engineers with an electrical bias, ideally HNC, Degree or equivalent qualification, teamed with the ability to demonstrate theoretical knowledge. It is essential that you have working knowledge of current safety regulations and legislation along with experience in working with heavy machinery/ plant equipment.

A manufacturing background is crucial with practical problem solving and communication skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure. Any knowledge of robotics, injection moulding machinery or previous experience in the plastics industry would be advantageous.
