The desired candidate will have experience in plant/agricultural machinery or mechanical engineering experience. Experience in hydraulics, combi or forklifts is a bonus.
The role will involve assisting in the inspection, maintenance and repair of forklifts and combi lifts as well as inspections and minor repairs to the fleet of lorries
Duties will include:
Actively anticipating machine failures, performing preventative maintenance and condition monitoring to prevent faults.
Carrying out maintenance tasks diagnosing faults and repairing machines to required quality and safety standards diligently and in good time using appropriate methodology.
Completing written records of all maintenance and producing handover documents.
Liaising closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and operations staff to ensure efficient, effective and planned reactive maintenance at all times and make recommendations to prevent re-occurrence and to minimise downtime, working with the team to improve reliability and productivity of equipment
Carryout safety inspections of tools and equipment as well as inspections of new equipment to ensure it meets the required standard for quality.
Comply with all current health, safety and environmental legislation together with company policies and procedures ensuring that safe practices of work are adhered to at all times and raising any concerns appropriately.
Follow the Company Quality Management Systems, policies and procedures to help achieve a quality product for the customer and reduce the non-conformances
Any ad-hoc duties to assist and support the Combi maintenance workshop.
Hours: 5am – 13.30pm, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
