Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and assessment across a range of Carpentry programmes.
- Design, prepare, and adapt teaching materials including handouts, schemes of work, and electronic resources.
- Ensure all delivery aligns with awarding body requirements to maximise student success.
- Support learners in embedding Maths and English within their vocational learning.
- Provide tutorial guidance, monitor student progress, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Coordinate and support work placement opportunities.
- Participate in curriculum development, course reviews, and promotional events.
- Maintain industry links and professional development within the Carpentry and Construction sectors.
- Comply with Health & Safety regulations and college procedures.
- Industry experience within the Carpentry and Construction sector.
- Minimum Level 2 vocational qualification in Carpentry.
- A commitment to delivering inspirational teaching.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A learner-focused approach with a passion for education.
- Willingness to undertake continuous professional development.
- Teaching qualification or willingness to achieve one.
- Experience in assessing and verifying vocational qualifications.
- Knowledge of integrating core skills such as Maths and English into vocational delivery.
