Meridian Business Support have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our clients team. The main purpose of this role will involve providing administrative & transactional support to their busy Finance function to ensure internal client expectations and business requirements are met to the highest standard.   The role is initially on a 12 month Fixed Term contract.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Setting up standard costs and work centres in the ERP system
  • Reviewing and validating latest purchase prices
  • Reviewing and correcting any exceptions from the cost consistency reports
  • Dealing with any ad-hoc exception reports relating to costing
  • Assisting with producing management reports
  • Help collect data on country of origin
  • Support chasing and clearing Invoice queries
  • Processing of scrap notes
  • Control supplier returns
  • Integrity of Supply stock
Experience Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience working in a similar Finance/Accounting role
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with ability to work independently to deadlines
  • Accuracy with great attention to detail
  • Confident and pro-active in dealing with key internal customers in a professional manager, demonstrating high levels of resilience
  • Proficiency with Excel and other MS Office programs
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels
