Fabrication Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fabrication Manager to join our growing team for an Electrical Trade Wholesalers based out of Basingstoke.
  • Contracted to 40 hours a week
  • Monday to Friday - 08:00 – 17:00

As a Pre-Fabrication Manager, you will be manging a small team to assist in the technical support and the daily supervision of the facility.

We will be looking for you to be able to accurately read and portray technical wiring schematics and manufacturing drawings, to ensure that we create and fit the required units.

You will be required to carry out both site surveys and on-site fabrication fittings.
The Role:
  • You will take off from CAD Drawings client schedules and schematics.
  • Plan and manage the Fabrication of TP&N, SP&N and panel board assembly
  • Carry out accurate record keeping in line with QC procedures
  • Manage the Time labour & Material management in line with prescribed works
  • Plan and manage the fabrication of steel bracketry systems
  • Engraving of bespoke labelling and wiring devices
  • Provide detailed BOM kits for accurate fabrication and procurement of client’s orders.
The Person:
  • Previous knowledge of working within a fabrication environment.
  • Experience in reading technical wiring schematics and manufacturing drawings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of TP&N, SP&N and Panel Board application and assembly
  • Comprehensive knowledge of RAMS and ITP documentation.
  • Experience of having worked within a stringent QC environment.
  • Competence in understanding consultant TP&N schedules and schematics.
  • Experience in requesting RFI’s from the likes but not limited to ARUP’s, Hilson Moran and Chapmans.
  • Understanding of Torque requirements and detailed analysis of QC records.
Technical & Functional skills:
  • Full UK Driving Licence essential
  • Competent in the safe use of Power Tools.
  • Understanding and adherence to the health and safety at work procedures.
  • Competent knowledge of lone working procedure.
  • First Aid trained however up to date training will be provided
  • Mega & Flash testing
  • Experience in use of LM40 CNC Machine
  • CAD Software knowledge preferred but not essential
