Are you looking for a busy and exciting role where you can use your excellent sales skills to achieve results? Are you confident with a track record of success in your previous Sales positions?

If so read on as this could be the role for you. We are seeking professional, consultative sales people to join a forward thinking company in Taunton as an Event Sales Executive to cover maternity leave on a contract basis for 9 months initially with the possibility of the role becoming permanent thereafter. The role is predominately telephone based and will involve you contacting a range of businesses in your target area to tell them about the event and encourage them to have an exhibition stand. You will need to be able to communicate well with people at all levels, both over the telephone, in writing and face to face and listen to their needs in order to sell them the most suitable show/ stand to meet their requirements. You will be responsible for researching new business areas as well as cross selling and up-selling to existing clients. You will have responsibility for a certain geographical area of the UK so you will need to know and understand the area, specific needs and employers and clients to make sure you are successful in the role. An interest/background in education, skills or careers or recruitment would be advantageous as is experience in a similar events sales role.

This role would suit you if you are looking for a role which allows you to use your excellent customer service skills and established sales ability to achieve results. You will be a natural relationship builder and strive to secure repeat business. You will have experience of selling face to face in client meetings and be able to "close the sale". In return there is the opportunity to earn a great OTE in the first year, along with a competitive basic salary. Travel is part of this role therefore a full driving licence is essential.
